Bahraini Court Decides to Make Next ISIS Trial Confidential

Bahrain Mirror: A Bahraini criminal court decided on Tuesday (February 2, 2016) to make the next trial of defendants accused of joining the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) branch in Bahrain confidential.

The court agreed upon the Public Prosecution's request to continue the trial of the 24 accused of joining ISIS to behind closed doors and adjourn the case until March 23 in order to listen to witnesses' statements.

The Public Prosecution had raised against the suspects charges of joining a terrorist organization, active in Iraq, Syria and Libya, and forming a branch of the organization in Bahrain for the purpose of committing terrorist acts and causing disorder, against a group of targets including the Grand Aali Mosque to kill the largest number of people belonging to the Shiite sect.
