Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Activists on social media outlet, Twitter, voiced their solidarity with political detainees in bahrain, over the deteriorating prison conditions and their ongoing exposure to torture and lack of medical treatment.

A number of political prisoners had announced a hunger strike after Jaw Prison authorities refused to allow them to receive treatment in hospitals, the last of whom was prisoner of conscience Sheikh Mirza Al-Mahrous, who confirmed he has been deprived of medication.

In Dry Dock Prison, inmates called for removing the glass barriers in the visitation center, which prevents them from communicating with their families during visits, stressing that they have been subjected to torture in solitary confinement and forced to imitate animal sounds.

Under the hashtag #Prisoner's_Right, tweeters demanded respecting the basic human rights of detainees, including providing them with a healthy environment inside prison and medical care.

In this regard, the president of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR), Nabeel Rajab, said: "You have deprived the prisoner of his right to freedom and security and deprived him of his children and family. Don't deprive him of his right to embrace his family and children as well."

Mocking the latest official statements, Dr. Taha Al-Dirazi said: "The right of prisoners to receive medical care and education is manifested by harassing prisoners and depriving them of medical treatment and pursuing their education."

As for another opposition tweeter, he posted a picture of the son of detainee Mohammad Ramadan, who is on death row, as he attempts to touch his father's face from a hole in the glass barrier.

Meanwhile, activist and BCHR member who resides in France, Mohammad Sultan, said: "On a daily basis we document complaints about the prison administration in Bahrain refusing to admit prisoners to hospitals for treatment."
