UK Raises Concerns at Senior Levels in Bahrain Government about Stripping Sheikh Isa Qassim of Nationality

Bahrain Mirror: The United Kingdom said on Wednesday (June 22, 2016) that it has raised concerns at senior levels in the Bahraini government about reports that the nationality of top Bahraini Shia cleric Sheikh Isa Qassim was revoked.
"We are concerned by reports that the nationality of Bahraini Shia cleric Sheikh Isa Qassim is being revoked, and we have raised these concerns at senior levels in the Bahraini government. We continue to strongly encourage Bahrain to live up to its international human rights obligations," it said in a brief statement.
