Situations in Dry Dock Prison Deteriorate Since Martyrdom of Al-Hayiki, Detainees Go on Hunger Strike

Bahrain Mirror: Information revealed on Tuesday (August 2, 2016) that detainees in pre-detention center in Dry Dock Prison have launched a hunger strike since Hassan Al-Hayiki was martyred.

Prisoners said that conditions in the prison have deteriorated once it was announced that Al-Hayiki passed away due to torture and after the prisoners chanted "Allah Akbar" slogans.

They described the treating of policemen and prisons' officials as "degrading (...) they shut the doors and entered police dogs", indicating that they have been receiving continuous threats since 3 days.

Detainees explained that the mercenary enter in large numbers and insult their sect, beliefs and figures, stressing that the forces provoke them in order to raid the prison cells and beat them.
