Bahrain Mirror: The Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee of Bahrain's National Institution for Human Rights said that it has received 99 complaints since January 2016 to date, 13 of which were kept for investigation, while other complaints are being followed up by the committee, which either waits for the competent authorities' response to cooperate on ending this violation or conducts further research and study.

The committee held its sixth regular meeting, chaired by Maria Khourey with memberships of both Hameed Hussain and Mona Hajras. During the meeting, the committee reviewed the complaints and aid requests that the institution had received since the last meeting in July 2016. The requests ranged from complaints of violations of freedom and personal security rights, as well as violations of the rights to a fair trial, liberty of movement and freedom to choose residence.
