US Journalist: Repression of King Hamad Damages Image of Bahrain

Bahrain Mirror: US journalist and columnist at the New York Times, Nicholas Kristof, said that the repression of King Hamas is what damages the image of Bahrain.

Kristof's statement came as a comment on the Public Prosecution accusing activist Nabeel Rajab of insulting the state's stature, through a letter he wrote and that was published in the American newspaper.

Journalist Kristof tweeted, "Repressive King Hamad damages the image of Bahrain far more than any human rights activist could in an NYT op-ed".

The public prosecution questioned the prominent rights activist Nabeel Rajab on Monday (September 5, 2016) and accused him of spreading false news that undermine the prestige of the state and its stature.
