Bahrain Mirror: The family of detainee Elias al-Mulla said that the authorities transferred its son on Tuesday (October 18, 2016), to the Military Hospital, due to the deterioration of his health status. It was then decided that he undergoes an operation next month, due to the pressure on appointments.

On a twitter account linked to al-Mulla's family, they said that the doctor expressed his extreme surprise at the "dangerous stage that Elias has reached, and it is a stage a young man at the prime of life should not reach." He clarified that [Elias] would not have reached this level if the issue "had been redressed".

Moreover, the family added, "A date for the endoscope operation has been set at one month after the day of inspection, because there aren't any sooner dates, and blood tests were taken also."

Elias Mullah's family concluded by saying that the authorities transferred him from prison to a military hospital while in chains, which he still complains about as they hinder his movement and cause wounds in his feet. The chains also affected his back because of the constant bending, the family also indicated in its post.
