Bahrain Mirror: Commander of the Royal Guard, the King's son, Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa (accused of torturing political opposition figures), received today the Commandant of the Royal Military Academy of Sandhurst (RMAS), Maj.-General Paul Nanson.

Bahrain News Agency (BNA) said that Nasser discussed with his guest various topics of shared interest.

Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa had donated in 2013 an amount of 3 million GPB to the renowned British Sandhurt Military Academy, for renaming a sports court established in memory of a First World War battle after his first name.

At that time, newspapers reported that "the Mons Hall will be called King Hamad's Hall, and it will be reopened next month after refurbishing it, thanks to the donations of the Bahraini Royal, who is a sponsor of Sundhurt, yet is known for his regime's crackdown against protesters in Bahrain."

The aforementioned British military academy faces a lot of criticism for training Gulf and Arab officials involved in serious human rights violations in their countries.
