Bahrain Mirror: The Fourth High Criminal Court adjourned the trial of the Shiite majority spiritual leader, Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim until December 4, to hear the defense witnesses and plea.

During the trial session held today (Wednesday November 23, 2016), the court heard the Prosecution's second witness, who is an employee at the Interior Ministry. Meanwhile, the defendants were not present, and behalf of them were lawyer Abdulrahman al-Kharsham, who was assigned by the Justice Ministry to represent Sheikh Hassan Mahrous (who was forcibly brought to the court).

Authorities are trying Ayatollah Qassim, his office manager Sheikh Hussein Mahrous, and Mirza al-Dirazi, over the Shiite religious Khums ritual, and are charging them with "collecting money without a license" and of "money laundering."
