Torturing Detainees in Jaw Prison Continues since Jan. 15 under Supervision of Mohammad Abdulhamid & Saud Abu Falah

Bahrain Mirror- Exclusive: Information from Jaw Central Prison revealed that there is significant deterioration in political prisoners' conditions, especially in building number 10 in which some of its detainees were tortured and put in solitary confinement.

It was confirmed that torturing detainees is taking place on daily basis in building number 10. The prison's administration also execute collective punishment against the prisons through banning them from using restrooms, bringing in riot forces, beating prisoners, assaulting them and preventing them from performing prayers.

A number of executioners, among the Mohammad Abdulhamid and Saud Abu Falah, leads the torture processes against detainees.

It is to mention that the orders of bringing in the riot forces and beating prisoners are issued by Mohammad Abdulhamid who threatened detainees to make their days black.

According to the information, detainee Ahmad Sarhan suffers from complications in lungs and inflammation in the urinary tracts. He has been on hunger strike since 12 days.

Sarhan was transferred to an unknown place after being held in solitary confinement twice during the past 12 days over his protest against the deterioration of conditions in Jaw Central Prison since the execution of 3 detainees was carried out. Sahran is from Nuwaidirat; he is accused of hiding wanted and joining "Al-Basta Group". He is sentenced to 11 years in prison.

On the other hand, Sarhan's family urged all the human rights organizations especially the Red Cross to consider their son's situation as he might lose both of his lungs or die.

The conditions of detainees in building number 10 have been in deterioration since the execution sentence against 3 detainees was carried out on January 15. It is to mention that all the prisoners have been on hunger strike since about 10 days in protest against maltreatment and execution of innocent martyrs.

Three days ago, prison guard forces kidnapped seven detainees: Mohammad Sarhan, Naji Fatil, Ali Sanqour, Mostafa Baher, Ahmad Al-Habashi, Mohammad Al-Mahaseniya and Ali Al-Wazir. They were then returned to the jail after being tortured and held in solitary confinement. However, Mohammad Sarhan, Naji Fatil and Ali Sanqour are still kidnapped. They were taken to unknown place and no news were reported about them.
