Bahrain Mirror: The Supreme Court of Appeals presided over judge Mohammad bin Ali Al Khalifa and Naji Abdullah as secretariat upheld a first-instance verdict issued against 2 appellants, sentencing one to 3 years in prison and another one to 10 years. Meanwhile, the court commuted the sentence of a defendant from 10 to 5 years in prison in a case that contains 32 suspects related to Diraz blast.

The High Criminal Court sentenced 16 suspects to 10 years in prison over blasting a locally made bomb aiming at alluring security men. It also sentenced 15 others to 3 years in prison and handed down 3-year jail term to another one and ordered the confiscation of seized items.

The Public Prosecution claims that on 5 and 14 June 2014, the suspects from the 1st till the 31st took part, along with other unknowns, in an assembly of more than 5 persons aiming at committing crimes and disrupting public peace, noting that they used violence to achieve the aim they gathered for. It also accused them of deliberately blasting bomb for a terrorist aim and acquiring Molotov aiming at using them to put people's lives and money to danger. The prosecution accused the 32nd suspect of hiding the fourth suspect, who is sentenced to imprisonment over an offense, and the seventh suspect who is sentenced to temporal imprisonment, despite being aware of that.
