Bahrain Mirror: The Supreme Court of Appeals presided over by Sheikh Mohammad bin Ali Al Khalifa and Abdullah Mohammad as a secretariat upheld 15-year jail term against a suspect accused of planting a bomb in a bus for a company near Al-Budai police station and exploding it using a SIM card. The court also bound him along with another convict sentenced to 7 years in prison to pay 809 BD for the damages caused to the bus.

The bus driver told the police that he left the bus near his house behind Al-Budai police station and that he heard at the early morning an explosion, so he left his home to see the damages caused to the bus. As a result, the police arrived to the scene and found remains of phones and tube that was manufactured as an explosive that was detonated by a mobile phone.

The authorities claim that they reached the suspects through a SIM card owned by an Asian individual. The investigations led to the warrantor who, according to the maid's statements, is the perpetrator. An employee in Diraz said that the suspect came to him, presented an Asian ID card, said that it belongs to his maid and bought 2 SIM cars. After arresting him, the suspect admitted doing the crime and said that the second suspect is the one who trained him to manufacture explosives and detonate them.

The Public Prosecution accused the first suspect of acquiring in 2014 explosives mentioned in the documents for a terrorist aim, causing, along with others, detonation for a terrorist aim, using the explosives mentioned in the documents that would put people's lives to danger and which led to the damages caused in the bus owned by the victim company.
