Nasser bin Hamad Warns of “Malicious Attempts Aimed at Undermining King and PMs Relations”

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini King's son, Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, warned on Friday (March 30, 2018) of malicious attempts to undermine the ties between King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

"Social media sites are witnessing malicious attempts to sow strife through fake accounts that promote lies and rumors," said Nasser in an official statement. "This calls for standing steadfast against these suspicious statements that are aimed at undermining the strong and rooted relations between King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. Khalifa and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa."

He called on the concerned parties to take the utmost strict measures against anyone who threatens and undermines civil and societal peace and seeks to incite sedition, strongly warning "any party of inserting our name in this sedition and speaking in our name in any form whatsoever."

The accounts have stated that the king is preparing to appoint his son Nasser as prime minister, replacing his uncle Khalifa bin Salman.

Relations between the Royal Court and the Prime Minister's Office have been strained and experiencing tensions since leaked conversation of government employee an MP attacking the Royal Court.
