Bahrain Mirror: An official source said that competent parties are working on issuing permits to collect money for charity, religious, social disabilities and relief organizations and other official organizations.

The source indicated that these organizations are considered legal ports to receive denotations, especially in Ramadan month in which people most people donate.

It denied the issuance of any permit for individuals, whether Bahrainis or foreigners, to collect money, indicating that when police notice that citizens or foreigners are collecting money, the competent parties are addressed to inquire if the collectors have official licenses or not.

"We, from our side, affirm that they have no licenses to collect money. Thus, they are referred to the Public Prosecution," it further stated.

The source called to study the issuance of a law that regulates charity work, particularly in view of the international experiences. It is to mention that the competent parties issued about 60 money collecting permits since onset of 2017 until Ramadan. Approximately, the same number of permits was issued during the same period in 2016.
