Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini House of Representatives refused in its session today a bill imposing fees on private cars owned by foreigners, noting that the fees would be double of those imposed on Bahrainis, i.e. 40 BD annually instead of 20.

MPs considered in their comments that this law is discriminatory against foreigners in Bahrain. Meanwhile, supporters of the bill deemed that every state has the right to prioritize its citizens in terms of services and fees.

14 MPs voted against the bill and only 6 voted in favor.
