Bahrain Mirror: The Saudi novelist, Abdo Khal, retracted his previous positions regarding the circumstances of journalist Jamal Khashoggi's death.

"The humiliation caused by the group of 18 smeared my face in the mud because imagination, no matter how active, will not come to believe what is unbelievable," he said in a number of tweets on his Twitter page, "All I can do is apologize."

Khal had ruled out the authenticity of the accounts of Khashoggi's assassination in his country's consulate in Istanbul, blaming it on a plot by the Muslim Brotherhood and Qatar. "I will be a outright adversary of anyone who killed, participated, plotted, or threatened to kill Jamal Khashoggi," Khal said, further stating that "late remorse is a wound that does not heal."
