Bahrain Mirror: Iraqi campaign owners and tourist offices in Bahrain demanded the cancellation of security clearance for issuing visas to tourists and re-work in individual visas.

"These actions are not applicable in all the Gulf States," a local newspaper quoted the campaign owners as saying. The cost of obtaining licenses increased by up to 30%.

They explained that group or individual visas used to cost between 20 and 21 Dinars, indicating that the price of visa issuance with the security clearance now for a list including 5 to 15 individuals ranges between 28 to 35 Dinars for person. However, in case the number of people exceeds 16, the cost becomes 26 Dinars for the individual.

The visa process lasted no more than two days, and now there is a problem with obtaining the security clearance, which requires up to 20 days until it arrives at the embassy via telegraph.

The Iraqi Embassy in Bahrain has issued a resolution requiring the security clearance to all those who wish to visit Iraq. Besides, working in individual visas was canceled.
