Bahrain Mirror: Military vehicles and armed forces have besieged Diraz for the second week in a row in an attempt to prevent citizens from reaching the largest Friday congregational prayer in Bahrain, at Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque.

The authorities failed on Friday (June 9, 2023) to prevent citizens from performing Friday prayer in Diraz despite the military ban they have imposed on the region.

It is to mention that Diraz has witnessed in the recent years restrictions on freedom of movement before the end of the house arrest of Bahrain's highest Shiite religious authority, Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim.
