Bahrain Mirror: Political prisoner in Dry Dock Prison, who has been on a hunger strike for two weeks, Mohammad Hasan Radhi, confirmed that the prison administration continues to procrastinate and underestimate his legitimate demands.

Radhi, said in an audio recording: "Two weeks have passed since I began the hunger strike, demanding my legitimate rights of visits, visual contact with my family, and treatment," noting that the prison administration "continues, to this day, to procrastinate and belittle these demands."

Human rights activist Ibtisam Al-Saegh confirmed, in a post on the "X" platform, that detainee Radhi "demands treatment from the effects of torture he was subjected to during his arrest and investigation."

Al-Saegh pointed out that "the administration of the minor convict prison in the Dry Dock is ready to bear the consequences of the strike, such as taking detainee Radhi to the prison clinic when he faints, but it is not ready to meet his demand for treatment, which it ignores." She added that "The police even mock his strike."

The authorities had arbitrarily arrested Radhi, on August 21, 2023, and was subjected to investigation in illegal and inhumane conditions, during which he was subjected to physical and verbal torture. He was tried without taking into account the testimony of the torture he was subjected to, and he is currently sentenced to one year in prison over one of the cases he appealed. The sentencing hearing is scheduled for January 29 of the same year.

The authorities filed two other cases against Radhi. He did not attend his last trial sessions because the prison administration required that he ends his hunger strike.
