Bahrain Mirror: The "Bahraini Opposition Bloc in Britain" deemed the passing of a quarter of a century since Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa took the throne as a nightmare haunting the Bahraini people.

In a statement, the bloc called on national forces, freedom fighters worldwide, and human rights activists to "increase purposeful efforts to establish a modern political system in this tormented country, Bahrain, as an alternative to the outdated tribal rule led by the current ruler."

The bloc highlighted that "this ruler's hands are stained with the blood of the innocent, and he has pawned the nation to foreigners, marginalized the indigenous population, and reached out to enemies of the nation, relentlessly seeking to eradicate the country's culture, history, and Arab-Islamic identity."

It further pointed out that "after decades of attempting to reach a governing formula with the Al Khalifa family, it has become clear that this is impossible, especially after the crimes committed by Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa have exceeded all limits."
