The Bahraini governmental delegation convened with the UN Committee against Torture (CAT) last Friday (April 21, 2017) in a session to discuss Bahrain�s periodic review pertinent to implementing the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.

Human rights groups sent an open letter to the UN Committee Against Torture (CAT), urging to reiterate Bahrain�s obligations under the Convention Against Torture. Bahraini authorities will appear before CAT in Geneva on Friday.
