Mohammed Al-Shorouqi and 3 Others Interrogated over Defamation Charges Released

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini authorities on Monday (March 12, 2018) released Mohammed Al-Shorouqi and three others, who were accused of defaming people via Twitter.
The Public Prosecution released Al-Shorouqi, Abdel-Azir Matar, Abdullah Al-Maloud and Fahd Al-Shamri after two weeks of detention pending investigation, according to a "Na'eb Na'eb" Twitter account.
Al-Shorouqi was accused of libel and was sentenced to three months in prison over charges of insulting former MP Mohammed Khalid.
