Bahrain Mirror: The House of Representatives agreed in its session held on Tuesday (April 24, 2018) to lift the immunity of MP Khalid Al-Shaer based on a request submitted by Minister of Justice to lift Al-Saher's immunity.

Al-Ayam newspaper said that 17 MPs voted in the session to approve the request while 13 MPs rejected it.

The request to lift immunity came in light of a lawsuit filed by MP Anas Buhendi who accused Al-Shaer of slandering and insulting him via social media outlets.
